During the 2023 holiday season, Aidan Lao hosted piano performances at various locations around Hamilton and the GTA with proceeds going to Ronald McDonald House Charities South Central
Ontario. At the conclusion of the tour, over a thousand dollars was raised for the Ronald McDonald House SCO.
RMHC®SCO is committed to providing safe and comfortable accommodations, nutritious home-cooked
meals, laundry services and specialized programming. These comforts of home provide a sense of normalcy when families lives are anything but and ensure that the only thing the families need to focus on is each other.
Canadian pianist Aidan Lao studies currently at McMaster University. For over 5 years, he has been performing professionally at retirement homes, events, and schools across Ontario.
Aidan started piano at 6 years old and hasn’t stopped since. He is passionate for sharing his vast popular, classical, and jazz repertoire across Canada. From 2022-2023, he was
the special winner of the Young Artist Performance Tour, going on a classical performance tour at venues across Ontario sponsored by ORMTA.
He completed his ARCT and LRCM
Diploma from the Royal Conservatory, achieving First Class
Honours with Distinction in 2021 and 2022.
Aidan has enjoyed considerable success at the local and provincial competitions in Ontario,
earning thousands of dollars in scholarships. He has won international competitions, winning first
prize at VIVO International and second prize at the American Music Talent Competition. A gifted
improviser, Aidan was featured by the Canadian Federation of Music
Teachers in celebration of Canada Music Week 2020.
In his spare time, Aidan teaches piano privately, and enjoys collaborative piano work. His
students have gone on to win first prizes at local competitions and have received first-class honours in
Level 10 Conservatory Exams.
He also has a passion for technology, receiving thousands in scholarships and awards at McMaster for software development.

Thank you to these venues and organizations who have allowed me to perform and share my music!
